Hearing Aid Funding

There are number of hearing aid funding available in NZ.

All our audiologists are full member of MNZAS and have access to all the funding available in New Zealand.

Here are the list of fundings available:

  • ACC - Noise Induced Hearing Loss & Injury related Hearing Loss

  • Enable - Ministry of Health subsidy & Funding Scheme

  • WINZ - Work and Income NZ

  • Veterans’ Affair (VA) - War Pensions

  • Insurance

  • Iwi funding


ACC

ACC provides funding for people with 6 percent or more hearing loss, which is caused by

  • long therm exposure to occupational noise

  • Injury related hearing loss

  • Treatment injury related hearing loss

ACC offers three different bands of funding depending on the percentage of hearing loss caused by the above reasons.

WINZ

A Community Services Card holder may be able to get assistance from WINZ.

We can provide the necessary paperwork/quote.


Enable - MINISTRY OF HEALTH FUNDING

Funding to cover the full price of the hearing aids 

Except for a few exemptions, most people are required to have an valid Community Services Card and also need to be meeting their requirements

A subsidy of $511.11 per ear, towards the payment of the hearing aids


WAR PENSIONS

Funding available to War Pensioners who served in the New Zealand army and obtained hearing loss due to noise exposure.
